When it's time to change the transmission and rear differential fluid, our drivetrain fluid kits make it easy. You get enough Motul transmission fluid for your gearbox, in the formula of your choice, and a bottle of fluid for the rear diff, all in one easy package

Tech note: Some people have called us asking, "How come you only include four liters of trans fluid when my service manual says more?" The answer is that when you're changing the fluid, a lot of the fluid is going to stay in the transmission, stuck between the gears and other parts. The result is that it takes less fluid than the manual specifies to fill the transmission full. The amount we sell in these kits is just the right amount for your fluid change.

Choose from three options:

  1. 5 liters of Motul Gear 300 75/90
  2. 4 liters of Motul Gear 300 75/90 and a 1 liter bottle of Motul 90PA
  3. 4 liters of Motul Gear 300 75/90 LS and a 1 liter bottle of 90PA

Option 1 is our default choice for 2007+ STI. It includes four liters of Gear 300 75W90 fluid for the transmission, and one more liter for the rear differential, as specified by Subaru. This is good for most 2007+ STI cars.

Option 2 is for owners of 2004-2006 STI cars, which have a mechanical rear diff instead of a Torsen style. Because this kit uses heavier 90-weight fluid for the rear diff, you could also run this on a 2007+ STI that's going to see higher-heat use, including track driving and/or running in very hot ambient conditions.

Option 3 is like Option 2, but for people who like the feel of the 75/90 LS fluid in the trans. The Subaru transmission does NOT require the LS additive, but some of our customers like the shifting feel with the LS fluid.

These kits are intended for the STI six-speed manual transmission. (The Legacy Spec B 6MT trans is the same.) The 2015+ WRX six-speed is based on the older five-speed transmission, so it uses this kit.

The BRZ/FR-S six-speed manual is again a different gearbox. We do have a kit for that car, too.

Good stuff
Size: 50 sqft, Size: 50 sqft
Good stuff. I did a lot of work on my 91 Toyota Land Cruiser 3FE. I did the inside and outside doors, as well as the under-hood area, with some extra work. I like this stuff. It sticks down good but you have to clean your surface so there's a good grip. I think these are going to do well for noise cancellation. The deadening material does well with absorbing vibrations too. But the install roller tools it will come in handy. Trust me trying to do it by hand is not worth it.

Works well
Size: 10 sqft
Worked great at a budget price. I used it to damp a fiberglass loudspeaker horn. Easy to work with too.

Good material but bites back
Size: 20 sqft
Very good product for my rear trunk and backseat on my mustang. I would recommend some type of gloves due to the foil itself when placing down will cut up your hands and fingers. Overall good product for its price.

Great sound mat for the price!
Style: 50 mil 50 SqFt, Style: 50 mil 50 SqFt
This is a good product. Many people go with KILMAT because of the value to price point. I did as well. When you clean the surface (in my case it was all painted metal) this stuff sticks very well. I do recommend you use a seam roller of some type, I used Lumiteco 3 piece roller set. This will help with adhesion and mostly flatten the overlapped edges. It also helps you see where you have rolled as it leaves little grooves. The difference when we had no sound mats and after was very impressive. We haven't finished our install yet and it is quieter than when we had an interior in the van. There are thicker mats available in other brands, but this will work great for our van build, but this helps keep the weight down. It is quality material, just be careful when you are removing the backing, the edge of the foil face can cut you. I suggest you layout where you are installing the mat and cut to fit. From what I have read, you don't need to cover every inch in the vehicle, just spot install for a big difference. I chose to cover most surfaces to help keep sound out when we are sleeping in the van. We haven't finished putting the van yet, but we have driven it around and been very satisfied with this product.
